Sofia Montes

Sofia is a highly talented and accomplished individual, dedicated to inspiring and educating the next generation in the fields of AI and robotics. Following in her mother Rocio’s footsteps, Sofia has a deep passion for teaching and a natural ability to connect with children and students, sharing the wonders of cutting-edge technology.
Little Prodigies Academy itself owes its inception to Rocio’s vision of preparing Sofia—and eventually other students—for a tech-driven future. What began as a mother’s initiative to teach her daughter about robotics and AI has grown into a thriving academy shaping young minds.
Sofia’s success extends well beyond the classroom. She has excelled in numerous robotics competitions and has been an integral member of several award-winning teams coached by Rocio. Notable achievements include being part of Little Prodigies’ 2020 FLL Explore team, which earned an invitation to the prestigious Houston event, and contributing to the success of Little Prodigies’ 2024 FLL Challenge team, among others.
In addition to her robotics accomplishments, Sofia showcased her STEM prowess in the ExploraVision competition during Grade 6, where she and a classmate earned a spot in the top ten. Their innovative project, the Artificial Cloud System (ACS), combined AI and drone technology to combat wildfires, demonstrating Sofia’s creativity and forward-thinking mindset.
Beyond her impressive accolades, Sofia is known for her kindness, patience, and dedication to helping her mother teach children the essential skills they need to succeed in robotics and technology. Her passion, expertise, and approachable demeanor make her an invaluable member of Little Prodigies Academy and a role model loved by all.
